D&D London has announced it will relocate the Paternoster Chophouse restaurant in November from Paternoster Square to a new site nearby.
The restaurant, which featured in Channel 4’s First Dates, will close at its current venue at the end of November and reopen at 60 Ludgate shortly afterwards.
Des Gunewardena, chief executive and co-founder of D&D, said he was pleased to have secured a site just a short walk away from the restaurant’s current location.
He added: “Paternoster Chophouse is a very successful and popular restaurant, particularly given its association with First Dates.
"We are also pleased that our landlord is Land Securities of whom we are existing tenants at Nova, 1 New Change and at Trinity in Leeds”
The reason for the move is due to proposed refurbishment works of 1 Warwick Court in Paternoster Square, the building currently occupied by the restaurant.
The interior at the new restaurant, which will retain its existing name, will be designed by Design LSM, who oversaw the interior of Klosterhaus, D&D’s latest restaurant, which opens in Bristol on Friday.
