New York’s Sunday in Brooklyn to launch in Notting Hill this summer

Williamsburg restaurant Sunday in Brooklyn has secured its first location outside of the US in London’s Notting Hill.

The neighbourhood restaurant was founded by Todd Enany, Adam Landsman and chef Jaime Young in 2016, serving up new takes on American dishes and cocktails, as well as a lengthy brunch menu.

Sunday in Brooklyn will be located at 98 Westbourne Grove – formerly a Côte Brasserie – in a two-floor corner site, with wrap-around windows and interiors similar to that of the original New York restaurant. It will be open seven days a week for brunch, lunch and dinner and will source its ingredients from independent local suppliers, offering dishes available exclusively in the London location.

Brunch dishes will include classics such as malted pancakes with hazelnut praline and brown butter, as well as cauliflower patty melt and traditional US favourite biscuits and gravy. Non-brunch dishes will include skirt steak, chimichurri, roasted carrots, arugula salad, whole smoked artichoke with saffron aïoli and chocolate s'mores with chocolate soft serve, toasted marshmallow and crisp wafer cookies.

Meanwhile, drinks will include the NY restaurant’s signature cocktails such as the ‘Honeybear on Holiday’ – Fiji rum, Amontillado sherry, apricot, pineapple, lime, cumin honey – and the ‘Devil’s Backbone’, a mix of mezcal, dill aquavit, rhubarb amaro, strawberry and tomato.

Landsman said: “We are all super excited to be opening up in London, a city with a phenomenal food scene that we can’t wait to be a part of. We’ll be bringing a big taste of Brooklyn with us, but we’re also looking forward to working with new ingredients and local producers to make this a true London edition of Sunday in Brooklyn.”
