The latest hospitality venues to open their doors across the UK in November 2024

A huge variety of hospitality outlets are opening this month as we head into the festive season. From an Ancient Greece-themed London nightclub to a produce-led sharing plates restaurant in Glasgow from Scoop group (which you can read more about here), there promises to be plenty of choice for diners and party-goers across the UK.

Donutelier

Donutelier is opening a second site this month in London’s Carnaby, following on from its Leicester Square debut in 2022. It will serve a Carnaby Street special flavour – the Carnaby Toffee Pudding – as well as its selection of signature donuts. The 1,330 sq ft site will also be home to a larger seated area.

Selene

Selene is a new members-only nightclub in London’s West End taking inspiration from Ancient Greece. Named after the Greek goddess of the moon, the club is situated in Mappin House, the address of the jewellery house Mappin and Webb. It will showcase performances of Ancient Greek tales, as well as house DJs and Greco-Italian aperitivi.

Muse at RSA House

Cocktail bar Muse at RSA House has opened in the Strand in London. Developed in partnership with Company of Cooks and Idyll Drinks and led by head bartender Kevin Price Houghton and mixologist Marcis Dzelzainis, the venue highlights the best of British ingredients.

Margo

Scottish restaurant group Scoop has returned with Margo in Glasgow. Headed by chef Robin Aitken, Margo offers a selection of small plates and sharing plates showcasing local produce. The 138-cover diner is split between a main dining room and an upper mezzanine.

Kin

 

Reza and Mohammed Malekzadeh, co-founders of vegetable-forward Kin Café in London’s Fitzrovia, has acquired the site next door. Cin Cin restaurant will now be operated as the cousins’ fifth site, offering vegetarian and vegan lunches and dinners. Executive chef Shayan Shams will be serving the likes of broad bean croquettes and sous vide cauliflower with butter bean purée.

BrewDog Edinburgh Waverley

 

 

BrewDog has opened a 175-cover bar in Edinburgh Waverley station in partnership with SSP. It marks the brewery and pub group’s third transport hub destination, joining the likes of London Gatwick and London Waterloo station.

Bun House Disco

 

 

The team behind Bun House in London’s Chinatown have launched Bun House Disco in London’s Bethnal Green. Open from lunch into the night, the new restaurant takes its inspiration from 1980s Hong Kong and the tunes of Canto and synthpop. The menu focuses on wontons, which are available with either prawn or vegetables.

Hotori

 

 

Founders Mike Zheng and Kuangyi Wei are set to open specialist Japanese yakitori restaurant Hotori in London’s Holborn. Chefs will cook the selection of chicken, vegetable, fish and meat skewers over hot charcoal on a 1.4m hibachi grill, available to view from the open kitchen counter.

B Bagel

 

 

B Bagel is opening its sixth site in London’s Highgate amid plans for further expansion in 2025. The bagels are boiled and baked in-store to a traditional family recipe and include sweet and savoury fillings. It takes over a former Roni’s site and offers space for 30 diners indoors and 50 guests on the outside terrace.

ABar Rooftop

 

 

Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in London has opened the 50-cover ABar Rooftop and outdoor terrace. Chef Akira Back offers a menu inspired by the seasons, divided into haru (spring), natsu (summer), aki (autumn) and fuyu (winter), while the bar’s interiors feature sky blues and a centre-piece chandelier.
