Mission Foods Sourdough Pitta and Greek Style Flatbread

Mission Foods has launched a Sourdough Pitta and Greek Style Flatbread. The pitta is ideal for both eat-in and takeaway options, while the flatbread can be enjoyed open, topped with either sweet or savoury ingredients. They can also be cut into pieces, toasted and served alongside dips.

Central Foods gluten-free and vegan Asian-style prawns

Frozen food distributor Central Foods has launched gluten-free and vegan Asian-style prawns for foodservice. The product comes in three different varieties: the torpedo, a filo-wrapped vegan prawn; the breaded, a crumbed vegan prawn; and the bubble, a battered vegan prawn.

Middleton’s new fine gravy granules dissolve quickly in water, saving time in the kitchen. The gravy is allergen free and certified as gluten-free by Coeliac UK.

Central Foods tomato, goat's cheese and basil tart

Central Foods has launched a new tomato, goats’ cheese and basil tart to its range, and has reformulated its Mediterranean vegetable tart to include chunky tomato, aubergine, courgette and mixed pepper on a bed of tomato sauce.

Baker & Baker Cocoa Orange Boomie

European bakery products manufacturer Baker & Baker has launched the Cocoa Orange Boomie. The doughnut has a dark, creamy cocoa filling, covered in orange flavoured icing and decorated with dark cocoa. Thaw for 90 minutes at room temperature and serve. After thawing, the product doesn’t need to be refrigerated and will be fresh and soft for up to three days.

Shicken Tikka Kebab Skewers

Frozen food distributor Central Foods has introduced meat-free tikka kebab skewers to its plant-based products. The Shicken Tikka Kebab Skewers have meat-free chicken-style pieces in a medium-spiced vegan tikka marinade, threaded onto biodegradable bamboo skewers.

New drinks for September 2023

Ueshima Coffee Company Fairtrade decaffeinated coffee

Japanese coffee brand Ueshima Coffee Company has launched a new Fairtrade decaffeinated coffee and three new speciality coffee beans sourced from Kenya and Mexico through NKG Bloom, an initiative aimed to improve the livelihoods of coffee-farming families.

Lanchester Wines London Cru

Lanchester Wines has launched London Cru wines to the UK market. The range, which includes Chardonnay, Pinot Gris Sparkling Rosé, and its flagship Pinot Noir are made in a winery in south-west London from grapes grown in West Sussex.

Wild Steps organic Malbec

New equipment for September 2023

Cambro CamShelving universal storage rack

FEM has introduced the Cambro CamShelving universal storage rack. Individual storage sections can be created with rail panels to hold pans, trays and boxes, with small gaps turned into easy-access vertical storage. Roband's Robatherm units

Metcalfe has introduced Robatherm units from Roband. The powder-coated stainless-steel urns can be set to variable or pre-set temperature control. Variable mode will suit users who require warm or boiling water, while pre-set will fix the temperature at 95ºC. An accessory for the urns enables them to be operated without the operator needing to touch the dispenser.
