Michelin-starred restaurant Pensons to add rooms

Michelin-starred Pensons on the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border will be opening two rooms on the Netherwood Estate from 14 July.

The rooms will have super king-size beds and shower rooms with views across the courtyard to the restaurant. Each room will be individually decorated using sustainable and local Herefordshire businesses, including eco-friendly paint from Edward Bulmer, lights from Hector Finch, textiles woven on the estate by the country offshoot of London Cloth Company and bespoke furniture made by the estate’s joiner.

A night's stay for two people, with a five-course tasting menu and breakfast, will cost £400 per night. A discount of £95 per night will be offered for single occupancy.

Pensons stands within previously derelict farm buildings and serves a local, sustainable and seasonally focused menu. Chef Lee Westcott launched the restaurant with Peta Darnley, managing partner of the family estate, in January 2019, winning it a Michelin star in October that same year.

Westcott stepped down from the restaurant shortly after and was replaced by Chris Simpson, who has retained the star.
