Eighteen new restaurants including Falmouth’s Harbour House and Dovetale in London have been added to the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland's selection this month.
The red book's inspectors are on the road year-round and update its listings monthly with additions highlighted by a ‘New' symbol on the Michelin app and website.
It will not be confirmed if they will receive a Michelin star, Bib Gourmand, Michelin Plate, or other award until the next formal Michelin Guide ceremony.
Harbour House in Falmouth was praised for “understated cooking” that is “powered by Cornish produce”. Inspectors added: “When visiting such a warm, welcoming and good-looking place as this, it will make you wish that every coastal village had somewhere like it.”
Also included in the December listings was Tom Sellers’ Dovetale (pictured) in 1 Hotel Mayfair, following the inclusion of the chef’s rotisserie chicken restaurant Story Cellar in last month’s update.
Also featured was Hearth in Kingston upon Hull, with inspectors having found that “the whole operation is run with passion and verve, offering relaxed surroundings in which to enjoy the seasonal dishes”.
