Marc Wilkinson has announced that he will be relocating Fraiche from Oxton, Merseyside, to Shropshire.
The chef-patron closed the Michelin-starred restaurant two weeks ago.
He announced the decision to close the venue last June after 18 years of trading, promising that it was not the end of Fraiche but a “change in my direction”.
Wilkinson posted on Facebook: “Fraiche is indeed on the move and I leave Oxton filled with many memories and pride of what I have achieved so far with Fraiche not forgetting the wonderful people I have met along the way.
“Now it’s time to evolve Fraiche and relocate it to the stunning countryside of Shropshire. A huge thank you to all who have supported the restaurant and hope some of you venture down to try the new environment this summer.”
He revealed that bookings for the new restaurant will be released on 1 June.
The menu will “continue at the same high standards” and guests will “still have to suffer Prince on the playlist”.
They will also have the option to stay the night in Wilkinson’s guest room.
Earlier this week, Andrew Sheridan revealed his acquisition of the Merseyside site, which will be reopening as Restaurant OXA next month.
