Lynn Brutman takes on GM role at Four Seasons Hotel London Park Lane

Lynn Brutman has been appointed regional vice-president and general manager of the five-red-AA-star, 193-bedroom Four Seasons Hotel London Park Lane. She steps into the shoes of John Stauss, who retired from the role after 23 years at the end of March.

It has previously been announced that Stauss, who spent 35 years with Four Seasons, would be replaced by Todd Cilano, who held the same position at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha in Qatar. However Cilano has since decided to leave Four Seasons.

A native of Long Island, New York, Brutman joined Four Seasons 27 years ago and most recently was regional vice-president and general manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire. She moved to the UK in 2014 to take up the position of general manager at the Four Seasons Canary Wharf (now the Canary Riverside Plaza hotel).

Brutman studied for a degree in hotel administration at the University of New Hampshire before beginning her Four Seasons career as a management trainee at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago. She then moved on to work at Four Seasons' properties in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Newport Beach, Miami and Whistler. In 2012 she moved to Toronto as hotel manager for the new opening of the group's flagship hotel.

Brutman said she was "honoured and delighted" to join the Park Lane hotel. "Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane helped set the foundation and principles of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts which still underpin our service culture of today. I look forward to carrying the hotel forward with respect to its history and traditions of the past, while always redefining luxury through the service we provide."

Meanwhile, Caroline Drayton has been announced as director of communications for Four Seasons UK Collection, with responsibility for the marketing and public relations of the group's three UK properties: two in London on Park Lane and Ten Trinity Square in The City, as well as the Hampshire property in Dogmersfield. Drayton has joined the global company, which operates 116 hotels worldwide, from her previous role as head of marketing and communications at Marcus Wareing Restaurants.
