Lukas Juhaniak has been appointed head chef of the two-Michelin-starred Trivet restaurant in London’s Bermondsey.
Juhaniak (pictured above left) joined the restaurant in 2021 and has worked with its founders, Jonny Lake (pictured above right) and Isa Bal, for the past three years.
Trivet was opened in 2019 by Lake, former executive head chef at the Fat Duck Group, and Bal, who was head sommelier at the Fat Duck.
The restaurant won its first Michelin star in 2022, which was followed by a second star this year.
Juhaniak was born in Slovakia and completed culinary school in Púchov before spending two years in Greece.
After moving to London in 2016, he joined the kitchen at Pierre Gagnaire’s Sketch restaurant, then spent a year at the three Michelin-starred L’Oustau Baumanière in Provence.
He has returned to London to join Trivet, which also features a wine cellar with more than 450 wines.
