Hospitality industry football teams are invited to enter this year's London Hospitality Festival, a one day event featuring a host of activities for industry footballers and their families.
Formerly the Hotel and Catering Challenge Cup, the London Hospitality Festival includes the largest hospitality football tournament in the country, with over 80 teams from the industry competing, as well as a softball competition.
Taking place on Sunday 8 September at King's House Sports Ground, Chiswick, this year's event is expected to host over 4,000 festival goers from the hospitality industry enjoying live music all day, beer and food tents, and activities for children.
The football competition is the largest of its kind, with seven cups up for grabs. Those that take home the sought after football trophy will not only gain the respect of the industry, but will also have the chance to parade it in their local area on an open top bus thanks to Big Bus London.
Meanwhile the softball competition, launched last year, is open to teams of up to 12 competitors made up of an even gender split.
Last year a team from Park Plaza Hotel Westminster took the title, and the trophy with more than a passing resemblance to the FA Cup. Those pictured (below) with the prize include purchasing manager Claudio Camperi, car logistics manager Eduard Ristea, F&B cost controller Paolo Traversi and back of house manager Romanus Ogbuani.
London Hospitality Festival director Paul Gilley said that the day had grown to become hospitality's summer party, with groups from across the industry enjoying the day with their families.
He added: "The event has grown into an all-day live music festival specifically for London hotels and restaurant staff. What's more, it's free to attend.
"It's set to be another fantastic year with even more to enjoy than ever. It really has turned into the hospitality industry staff summer party, with colleagues enjoying the entertainment whether they're playing football or not. The free event is open to everyone. "
