London Cocktail Club to launch first site outside London

London Cocktail Club has chosen Bristol for its first site outside London.

The bar operator has secured a 2,000 sq ft site across three floors at 37 Triangle West in the city, with a late licence until 4am.

London Cocktail Club, which is backed by chef Raymond Blanc and Dragons' Den judge Sarah Willingham, already has nine sites across London.

The firm's founder, JJ Goodman, will design the new bar having acquired the lease from former tenant Manos Liquor Bar.

Property agent Shelley Sandzer brokered the deal.

Michelle Hall, managing director at London Cocktail Club, said: "We've long dreamed of bringing LCC to Bristol, a city that shares a kindred love of great cocktails and great parties. It's an exciting first step for our company outside of our hometown and we're very grateful to Shelley Sandzer for helping us achieve it."

Goodman opened his first bar at the age of 24 and has won a series of awards including Best Bartender at the 42 Below Cocktail World Cup.

Despite a lack of kitchen experience, he also won the BBC Two TV show The Restaurant alongside fellow director James Hopkins in 2008, which gave rise to their business partnership with Blanc and Willingham.
