Jodie Makin joins Caffeine Limited as operations manager

Jodie Makin has joined Caffeine Limited as operations manager and brings a wealth of experience to the role, which sees her co-ordinating the work of the different departments within the business to ensure high levels of customer service.

Makin has a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the coffee industry having worked with Costa Coffee for nine years, working her way up from Barista to store manager before moving to Costa Express and gaining experience of a range of equipment. At Costa Express she worked as brand coach, providing training across the south of England. After that she moved to the international operations team, where she helped introduce Costa Express to new markets as well as supporting the growth of existing markets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Makin is excited to join the team at Caffeine, and said: “It’s a varied role, I get to be hands on while also dealing with corporate strategy. It’s almost impossible to get this mix in a corporate setting, and that’s one of the reasons I love the whole family-run element of Caffeine.

“The equipment and the coffee we sell is amazing (and) It’s fun to be working in an industry you’re passionate about.”
