Jason Atherton to headline Northern Restaurant & Bar debate

Chef-restaurateur Jason Atherton is set to headline a debate at Northern Restaurant & Bar (NRB) 2019.

The Sheffield-born founder of the Social Company will take part in the annual Bruntwood NRB Debate, taking place on Tuesday 19 March.

NRB chief executive Thom Hetherington will quiz Atherton on achieving global success and his role as principal patron for Hospitality Action.

The debate will also include a panel, featuring Libby Andrews, marketing director at Pho, Russell Danks, Punch Taverns marketing and strategy director, Oisin Rogers, landlord of the Guinea Grill in London's Mayfair, and Andy Windsor, head of marketing at Mission Mars.

Chaired by Lucy Noone-Blake, the debate will look at how brands and businesses build loyalty and ensure their share of the marketplace, how to bridge the gap between online presence and driving physical footfall and the value of social media.

Andrea George, head of retail leasing at debate sponsor Bruntwood, said: "Northern Restaurant & Bar has become a hugely important ‘coming together' for the sector, an opportunity for the most innovative and talented to descend on one place, collaborate, share and network; and it's wonderful that it all happens in Manchester."

Hospitality exhibition Northern Restaurant & Bar will take place on 19 and 20 March 2019 at Manchester Central.
