Jason Atherton launches third Social Sunday in aid of Hospitality Action

Chef Jason Atherton's Social Company has announced the return of Social Sunday, on 11 June, to raise funds for the Hospitality Action.

Atherton and head chefs from across his London restaurants will be joined by top chefs from around the country for the series of lunches, with all proceeds from the day going to the charity.

The chef-restaurateur will host a lunch at Pollen Street Social with three of the new generation of chefs currently lighting up the London dining scene: Elizabeth Allen (formerly Pidgin, soon to launch solo venture Shibui), Mark Jarvis (Anglo) and James Cochran (James Cochran EC3).

At Social Eating House, Paul Hood will be welcoming Peter Sanchez-Iglesias from Michelin-starred Bristol restaurant Casamia.

Meanwhile, Temple and Sons' Keith Hooker will be paired up with David Carter from his critically acclaimed restaurant Smokestak, while next door at City Social, Paul Walsh will be collaborating with Claude Bosi, who recently re-opened Bibendum.

At Sosharu, Alex Craciun will work with Ollie Dabbous and Ben Orpwood (formerly of Sexy Fish and Zuma), while James Brown at Hai Cenato will be paired with Ben Tish (formerly of Salt Yard Group).

The Blind Pig cocktail bar will also be hosting a pop-up for Social Sunday with guest bartenders from around London including: Matt Whiley of the Peg and Patriot; Daniel Schofield from Coupette; Aidan Bowie of Dandelyan; and Jake O'Brien Murphy from Callooh Callay.

The menu prices range from £65 to £180.

Last year the event raised a total of £51,851. It hosted guest chefs Tom Kerridge, Sat Bains, Claude Bosi, Paul Ainsworth, Tom Sellers, Nieves Barragán Mohacho, Greg Marchand and Liam Smith-Laing.
