Latest openings: Italian Greyhound, Rum Kitchen Brighton, Turul Project and more

A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.

Italian Greyhound

Bernardi’s in London’s Marylebone has been relaunched as a more casual offer inspired by Italian neighbourhood bars. Italian Greyhound is billed as an ‘evolution’ of the site, with a larger bar area for guests to drop in for drinks or small plates, a bookable dining room and wraparound terrace for 20 covers.

It is run by Barry Hirst and brothers Marcello and Gabriel Bernardi, who together co-founded London’s Cubitt House pub and hotel group and the Open House restaurant group, which includes the Lighterman in King’s Cross.

Head chef Yohei Furuhashi spent nine years cooking at the River Café under Ruth Rogers and went on to lead the kitchens at Dinings SW3 in Knightsbridge and Petersham Nurseries in Richmond. He serves an all-day menu based around small plates, handmade pasta, pizza, grilled dishes, salads and desserts, made using both British and Italian produce.

Drinks include Italian and British beers, ales and ciders, while wines from a range of European producers are available by the glass.
