The Inverlochy Castle Management Company (ICMI) has been appointed to operate the 25-bedroom Isle of Eriska hotel & spa, off the west coast of Scotland, 12 months after the property was sold by Beppo Buchanan-Smith.
Buchanan-Smith, whose family has owned the hotel for more than 40 years, was initially retained by the new owner as a consultant on a two-year contract. However, he suddenly left the property earlier this year.
Isle of Eriska will become the 15th hotel to join the ICMI portfolio, which includes Inverlochy Castle in Fort William and Andy Murrayâs hotel Cromlix in Dunblane.
Gordon Cartwright, a former senior AA hotel and restaurant inspector, will continue in his role a general manager of the hotel. Head chef Conor Toomey joined the hotel last month from Amberley Castle in West Sussex.
Norbert Lieder, managing director of ICMI, described the Isle of Eriska as one of one of Scotlandâs âbest known and loved country retreatsâ.
He added: âOver the last year the Rong family have sympathetically upgraded the 25 hotel rooms and built four new self-catering lodges to make sure the estate offers the ultimate in luxury for guests."
Wayne Rong, owner of Creation Gem, said: âMy family and I are honoured to be the custodians of this iconic property and we want to make sure it provides one of the best guest experiences in Scotland. ICMI has a proven success delivering the very best service at its existing properties and we know we can trust them to support Eriskaâs management well into the future.â
The Isle of Eriska Hotel is also a member of the Relais & Châteaux hotel consortium.
