Hyatt and SLH declare loyalty programme partnership

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and marketing consortium Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) have announced plans to extend Hyatt's loyalty programme benefits to some SLH hotels.

World of Hyatt members will be able to earn and redeem points during stays at participating SLH hotels when they book through Hyatt channels. It is hoped the benefits will become available by the end of the year.

Although the participating SLH hotels have not yet been confirmed, it is believed some UK hotels may be involved.

Mark Hoplamazian, president and chief executive of Hyatt, said: "SLH's high-end collection of boutique hotel experiences means our members will soon be able to earn and redeem World of Hyatt points in more places, including many new locations in Europe and Asia."

Filip Boyen, chief executive of SLH, added: "We are constantly looking for ways to add value for our many independently spirited hotels. This coming alliance with World of Hyatt does just that.

"Our work together will allow World of Hyatt members to enjoy loyalty benefits across a wider choice of small independent luxury hotels. For SLH, our hotels are our brand, and we look forward to expected increased occupancy with significant exposure to the World of Hyatt program's more than 10 million members."

Small Luxury Hotels of the World has more than 500 independently-owned member hotels in more than 80 countries and has its own loyalty program, Invited. SLH has 37 member hotels in the UK, including the Bath Priory, the Chester Grosvenor, the Arch London and the Cromlix hotel in Dunblane, Perthshire.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation, headquartered in Chicago, has a portfolio of more than 750 properties in more than 55 countries across 14 brands, including Andaz, Park Hyatt, Unbound Collection and Hyatt Regency.
