Harry Shepherd has joined Palé Hall as operations manager following two years as hotel manager of the Chester Grosvenor.
He will oversee the day-to-day operations and guest relations at the 18-bedroom hotel in Bala, Gwynedd, owned by Alan and Angela Harper, which has a five-star rating and three rosettes from the AA, and was the first Welsh member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Chef Michael Caines is a consultant on the hotel's food and beverage offering, overseen by head chef Gareth Stevenson.
General manager of Palé Hall Pim Wolfs said: "Harry has joined the team at a fantastic and exciting time. Harry has the personality and skillset to help us achieve great things at the hotel."
Shepherd began his hospitality career at the Mill House hotel in the Cotswolds, with his subsequent appointment as deputy general manager of Mallory Court in Warwickshire.
Shepherd said: "From the moment I arrived at Palé I knew we would have a history. The combination of exceptional dining and old world charm sets Palé Hall on a very exciting path, and I'm delighted to be a part of the journey."
