Fuller's to relaunch Chamberlain hotel with co-working space

Pub and hotel operator Fuller’s has invested nearly £2m into the Chamberlain hotel in the City of London including the creation of an all-day dining and co-working space.

Reopening on 30 September, the 64-bedroom hotel will also house a new lounge, restaurant, a new 130-cover basement cocktail bar called the Chambers and reception. The refurbishment will also see the launch of a co-working space in the ground-floor lounge area and meeting rooms will be available for hire.

Mark Fulton, head of operations at Fuller’s, said: “Our team has worked extremely hard to prepare for this new and exciting venture with the Chamberlain. We wanted to challenge our traditional approach towards hospitality and offer an all-inclusive space which serves great food and innovative cocktails, while encouraging visitors to explore the rest of the venue.

“It’s the first time we have ever done something like this before and it’s also a significant investment for us, but we are confident it’s a positive change that reflects the needs of the modern consumer, seeking a fantastic dining and drinking experience.”

Fuller’s runs 180 tenanted pubs and 204 managed pubs and hotels in the UK. In June 2018 the group acquired Bel & the Dragon, comprising six stunning country inns, and owns the Stable, a craft cider and gourmet pizza restaurant business, which has 16 sites in England and Wales. In April 2019, Fuller’s sold its brewing division to Asahi Europe.
