First Look: The Zetter Bloomsbury hotel

The hotel will be the Zetter group’s first new opening in 10 years.

The first images of the upcoming Zetter Bloomsbury hotel have been revealed ahead of its opening in October 2025.

The property will be the third hotel for the Zetter group and its first new opening in 10 years.

The group, which also owns the Zetter Marylebone and the Zetter Clerkenwell, took over the property, which previously traded as the Grange White Hall hotel and Grange Blooms hotel for more than 20 years, in June 2023.

Interiors have been overseen by James Thurstan Waterworth, founder of Thurstan and former European design director of Soho House.

Each of the 68 rooms feature Georgian pastels in shades of pink, blue and green, alongside antique reclaimed floorboards and Victorian upholstery.

The rooms include four-poster beds, freestanding baths, bay windows fitted with striped curtains made form Tissus D’Helene fabric, bespoke lamps and Persian rugs.

The bathrooms are fitted with products from Verden, making the Zetter the first hotel group to partner with the eco-conscious fragrance brand.

Communal areas include the Sitting Room, where guests will be greeted with a welcome cocktail; the Larder, which is suitable for private dining for 20 to 40 guests; and the Orangery, which overlooks the gardens.

Liutauras Vaitkevicius, managing director of the Zetter, said: “The Zetter Bloomsbury will mark yet another important milestone in the evolution of London’s boutique hotel scene.

“The Zetter, often credited as being the trailblazer of the concept, continues to lead the market and evolve in its own right. The unparalleled design will be matched with our conceptual and experiential service. The team and I simply cannot wait to start welcoming our guests to the Zetter Bloomsbury in 2025.”

Mark Sainsbury and Michael Benyan, who founded the Zetter Group in 2004, sold the company to global hospitality investor Orca Holding for an undisclosed sum in March 2021.
