The Fife Arms hotel in Braemar, Aberdeenshire, has appointed Marc Denton as its new general manager and Rachael Henley as hotel manager.
Denton joins the 46-bedroom property having previously worked in Thailand as general manager at the RAKxa Wellness retreat in Bangkok and at the Kamalaya Wellness Resort in Koh Samui. He replaces Federica Bertolini, who left the hotel last year and is now sales and marketing representative at Candacraig Estate in Strathdon, where she offers walks, tours, itineraries and food for visitors through her company the Italian Ghillie.
Henley started her new role in December 2020 following F&B manager roles at Grantley Hall in Yorkshire and the Idle Rocks in Cornwall. Kirsten Jensen previously held the hotel manager role and has been promoted to talent and development manager.
The Fife Arms is owned by Iwan and Manuela Wirth, who relaunched the property in 2019 with an impressive art collection, including works by Pablo Picasso and Lucian Freud. The pair also own the Roth Bar & Grill, Durslade Farmhouse and the Bull Inn at Hardway, as well as their gallery in Bruton, Somerset, and Manuela restaurant, which is situated within their Los Angeles gallery.
