Event catering company Cook Street falls into administration

Event catering company Cook Street has fallen into administration following the death of its managing director last year.

MPM Catering Limited, which trades as Cook Street, provided high-volume mobile catering at public events including county, industry and Royal Horticultural Society shows.

Its street food concepts serve burgers, fish and chips, waffles, pizza, pulled pork and more from mobile kitchens.

Conrad Pearson and Patrick Lannagan of accounting and advisory firm Mazars LLP were appointed as joint administrators yesterday (19 February).

Pearson said: “This family-run business was understandably affected by the loss of their managing director, who passed away last year.

“In addition to this, trading has been affected by cash flow difficulties which has led the current management to conclude that they have no appetite for continuing the business. The administrators are marketing the business and assets in the short term with the hope of achieving a sale. Any interested parties should make contact with Mazars in Manchester”.

Shrewsbury based Cook Street was established in 2009 is a family-run business with 12 employees, none of who have been made redundant at this stage.
