Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has revealed an opening date for its “largest project to date”, which will see five venues open at 22 Bishopsgate in the City of London.
The group has launched a huge recruitment drive to fill 250 positions, ahead of the first restaurant’s opening on 3 February 2025.
The 22 Bishopsgate venue will comprise three restaurants, a rooftop terrace and a culinary academy.
Ramsay said: “I am incredibly proud of all our restaurants, around the world, however, London will always be home and a very special place to my family and I, it was in this amazing city that I opened my very first restaurant, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea in 1998.
“It’s a cosmopolitan and vibrant city and to have seen its dynamic growth throughout the city and the skyline over the last 20 years has been incredible!”
Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants commented: “With five different experiences at 22 Bishopsgate we will be creating around 250 jobs. We look forward to continuing to attract, train and nurture passionate hospitality talent to come and join us on this journey, our biggest adventure yet”
Gordon Ramsay Restaurants is looking to fill roles including chefs of all levels, front of house, sommeliers and mixologists, as well as managerial posts.
The business said it is looking to hire both new entrants to the industry and experienced professionals.
The five restaurants, which are due to open in 2025, include Lucky Cat, which will sit on the 60th storey of the office block, with views across London. The Asian-inspired restaurant will have an adjoining cocktail terrace hosting live entertainment until 3am.
On the same storey will be a 14-seat chef’s table offering an intimate experience of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, in celebration of the Chelsea restaurant’s 25th anniversary and its 22nd year maintaining three Michelin stars.
The storey below will feature the celebrity chef’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar concept. The Gordon Ramsay Academy, powered by HexClad, will also open a new school in the building, offering culinary enthusiasts the chance to learn skills such as cooking the perfect beef Wellington.
