Foodservice firm Elior UK has locked up a £30m contract to cater for the Metropolitan Police Service in London.
The deal will see Elior UK cater to 14 sites across London and as part of that it will be introducing new menus and branding.
In addition to catering in staff restaurants, Elior UK will also be responsible for "operational feeding", which involves the provision of food and drinks to police officers involved in public order events and incidents, both planned and unplanned.
It will also provide hospitality services, predominantly at the three main buildings within the Metropolitan Police estate, as well as the supply and maintenance of vending machines.
There is an option to extend the three-year contract for an additional two years. As a result of the variable costs associated with the contract, the approximate value range of the deal ranges from £23.8m to £30.5m for the whole term, based on a five-year potential term.
Elior UK declined to comment on the news.
