Eastbury Hotel & Spa returns to the market for £2.5m

The Eastbury Hotel & Spa in Sherbourne, Dorset, has been placed on the market for offers in excess of £2.5m.

It was sold to Lana de Savary, wife of millionaire businessman Peter de Savary, who passed away last year, for more than £2m in January 2018.

The seller for this sale has not been disclosed.

Eastbury Hotel & Spa, which was originally set out as a Georgian gentleman’s residence, has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment programme that has resulted in 26 en-suite rooms.

There are five Victorian potting shed suites, which feature wet rooms, underfloor heating and private terraces.

The property also has a restaurant, bar, function room, guest lounges, boutique spa and a garden for outdoor games and alfresco dining.

It resides in a market town surrounded by the English countryside and the Jurassic Coast.

Matthew Smith, partner at Hotel Agency, said: “The Eastbury Hotel & Spa has received considerable investment in recent years and represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a refurbished Georgian townhouse hotel in the centre of Sherborne, that benefits from an array of award-winning facilities”

Property advisor Knight Frank has been appointed as the selling agent for the Eastbury Hotel & Spa.
