Double contract win for Graysons

Graysons has started the New Year with two new contracts together worth more than £2m.

At the beginning of the month Graysons started delivering catering services at engineering, environmental and strategic consultancy Ricardo in Shoreham, West Sussex.

The new contract is worth more than £1.7m and includes the provision of hospitality services over five year term. The contract was won from CH&Co and will see Graysons catering for more than 750 employees.

Ricardo site manager for Shoreham & Cambridge technical centres, Tim Dray, said the company was "very impressed" with Graysons' "modern, exciting" food and "really great" service, and sales in the restaurant have increased.

Dave Shemmans, Ricardo Group chief executive, added: "It is great to see significant improvements in the catering offer at our Shoreham office and I'm very pleased the new service has been so well received by our staff."

Graysons has also been awarded the contract to operate catering services at IOP Publishing (a subsidiary of the Institute of Physics) in Temple Meads, Bristol, until 2021. The £550,000 contract was previously managed for six years by Harbour & Jones.

Graysons will be working with IOP to manage the staff restaurant for the 340 people on site as well as providing hospitality services for meeting rooms and events.

Facilities manager at IOP Publishing, Toby Beech, said: "The team at Graysons understood our needs and these were very much reflected in their offer.''

Simona Oproiu, business development director of Graysons, said: "We are extremely excited and very proud to work with such passionate and great people who want their catering services to be modern, fresh and innovative.''

Graysons operates in the business and industry, conference venue, and public catering sectors. Its clients include the Francis Crick Institute, the British Library, and QVC.
