Delaware North makes series of key appointments

US-based contract caterer Delaware North has made a series of appointments in the UK following the acquisition of Magicgoal.

Delaware purchased Magicgoal, the company behind Prime Burger, Chicken Rotisserie and Sandwich & Co, in November 2017.

Founder of Prime Burger and event catering operation, the Fine Food Company, Robert Tame has joined as concept development director. His responsibilities include ensuring that all Delaware's retail operations are not only kept up-to-date and relevant, but that they connect with their target customers.

Sam Steele, who has worked with Tame for the past decade, has been appointed marketing and communications director. With a background in BBC journalism she will be in charge of communicating all that Delaware provides to clients.

Daniel Clark has been made UK operations director for sports services, stepping up from his position of catering service director, where he has been running the operation at Wembley Stadium since 2014. Alongside the national stadium Clark will now head up operations across all of Delaware North UK's stadia operations including the Emirates, the London Stadium, Charlton Athletic's the Valley stadium, Fulham's Craven Cottage, and Derby's Pride Park stadium and Moor Park training ground.

Elliott Moore joins Clark's team as general manager of the London Stadium, the former London 2012 Olympic stadium, now home to West Ham United FC and UK Athletics. His past experience includes a general manager position for the Kia Oval and part of the F&B team which set up and ran the O2 Arena for Compass Group.

Chef Harry Lomas, former director of food services for the British Army and executive chef at the Grove hotel, Hertfordshire, has been recruited to head up a revised structure at Wembley Stadium, the national stadium as head of culinary. Lomas will take responsibility for the entire food output at the sports venue, including retail, hospitality, restaurant and banqueting.

Doug Tetley said: "We're hungry for growth, and there are a number of exciting opportunities ahead for Delaware North UK. These new appointments will move the company forward and ensure we continue to deliver excellence for our clients and customers as we grow."
