Compass' healthcare division, Medirest, has sewn up a £48m deal to provide facilities management and catering at North Middlesex University Hospital Trust.
The five-year contract will include the refurbishment of retail spaces and the introduction of a new restaurant for patients, staff and visitors.
The Wellspring restaurant will include Medirest's ‘Whole+Sum' food offer, which provides diners with a choice of hot food options which all 500 calories or under, while a self-service salad bar will also be available alongside a pop-up counter offering regularly changing dishes.
Medirest has been working with North Middlesex University Hospital Trust, which serves more than 350,000 people living across North London, for over 15 years. This new deal extends its service delivery to include portering, security, pest control and uniform management.
