Claire Jones named Swinton Park general manager

Claire Jones has been named general manager of the 31-bedroom Swinton Park in the Yorkshire Dales.

Previously estate hotel manager at the Raithwaite Estate in Whitby, North Yorkshire, Jones has also been general manager for Wirral-based Contessa Hotels, the Hillbark hotel and spa, and the Leverhulme hotel.

Swinton Park owner Felicity Cunliffe-Lister said: "Claire has the skills and experience required to manage a complex project that includes not just a luxury hotel but also a cookery school, glamping campsite, café and estate activities.

"With experience of spa development and management, Claire will be key to the successful launch later in the year of our country club and spa, which will include a second restaurant, coffee shop and destination gardens."

Swinton Park features 31 guest rooms, including five suites (one of which is set on three floors in the turret).
