Cameron House completes multimillion-pound refurbishment

Cameron House, the five-AA-star, 136-bedroom hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond, West Dunbartonshire, has completed the final phase of a £4m refurbishment with the unveiling of its new-look bedrooms and suites.

The rooms, which were inspired by the hotel's locality, have been created by Greyline Design and feature a contemporary nod to tartan and paisley, combined with copper, bronze and antique brass fittings.

Handmade leather sleigh beds by Paton Developments sit alongside fabrics from Osborne & Little, bespoke carpets by Gravity Flooring and upholstery from Zoffany.

Andy Roger, resort director, said: "We hope guests will agree the new-look bedrooms complement the investment made throughout the resort, ensuring we continue to deliver a truly luxurious experience that offers guests only the best standards and showcases our hotel and its stunning location."

The year-long refurbishment of the hotel has included a revamp of all the public areas, including the Cameron Grill and the Michelin-starred Martin Wishart on Loch Lomond restaurant, alongside the addition of the Great Scots Bar Terrace.

Cameron House was acquired by American private equity firm KSL Capital Partners for £70m in November 2015.
