Craft beer specialist Camden Town Brewery has launched a limited-edition Supporting Australia lager and will donate 100% of all draught sales to the Australian Salvation Army which is supporting the bushfire relief effort.
The 4.6% lager has been on sale at selected London pubs since 24 January including the Horseshoe, Mare Street Market and Fountain & Ink. Additionally, the brewer will match all donations made from the sale of the brew.
Camden Town Brewery founder Jasper Cuppaidge and many of his employees are from Australia. He said: “Australia will always be a special place for me, and when we saw the bushfire crisis, we knew we had to do something to help support those affected.
"We’ll be doubling all proceeds from the Supporting Australia lager, with the money going directly to the Australian Salvation Army to help support and rebuild communities.”
Donations to the Australian Salvation Army and to the Australian WWF who are providing emergency for injured wildlife as well as rehousing, can be made via its website.
Cuppaidge founded Camden Town Brewery in 2010 and founded a second brewery in July 2017. It produces six all-year beers including Hell’s Lager.
