Bunga Bunga to relaunch karaoke nights in shower cubicle-styled booths

Bunga Bunga, operated by Inception Group, has announced it will relaunch its karaoke nights next month, featuring ‘sparklingly clean’ shower cubicle-style booths to comply with social distancing.

The group has said the “Kara-soaky” nights, which launch on Friday and Saturday nights from 4 September, will offer an “original singing in the shower karaoke experience” as well as complying with social distancing and other Covid-safety measures.

As part of the company's 'playful' distancing inventions, the party venue has been transformed into an “Italian bathroom” and fitted out with bathroom props, with tables separated by transparent shower curtains to create distinct ‘bathroom bubbles’ for each party of up to 10 people. Cubicles will be sanitised after each performance.

To avoid mixing between different ‘bubbles’, retro telephones have been installed at each table to allow parties seated at different tables to communicate and provide a direct line to the host for song requests. Each performance will be broadcast on large screens throughout the venue for guests to enjoy from their seats.

Guests will also be offered a three-course Italian feasting menu, including an antipasti selection and Bunga Bunga’s signature metre-long pizzas.

The Inception Group, which also operates the Mr Fogg’s brand and Cahoots in Soho, is known for its eclectic bar and restaurant concepts. Last month co-founder Charlie Gilkes told The Caterer how their creative and unusual solutions to complying with safety measures would include using mannequins and staff wearing beekeeping head veils.
