Tyddyn Llan, the one-Michelin-star restaurant with rooms in Llandrillo, Denbighshire, has been targeted by burglars who stole a safe containing cash.
It is the fourth time in 15 years that the restaurant, owned by Bryan and Susan Webb, has been attacked by thieves.
It is believed that the burglary took place at around 2.30am on Tuesday, when the thieves forced open a door before smashing the safe off its cement base and wheeling it away on a trolley.
The business, which has 12 bedrooms, was closed at the time as it is every Monday and Tuesday.
The Webbs live in the grounds of the property and Bryan Webb discovered what had happened early on Tuesday morning.
Bryan Webb told the Daily Post: "We work so hard here, very long hours so it is hard to take something like this, I can't tell you my initial reaction.
"I'm not angry now, I just feel upset that our space has been invaded."
