Brewhouse & Kitchen buys Beagle Hoxton and Wabi Horsham sites

Brewhouse & Kitchen has announced its acquisition of the Beagle in London's Hoxton and Wabi in Horsham sites.

The pub and brewery company confirmed the acquisition of the leasehold of the former Beagle restaurant (pictured). The Beagle was owned by Danny and Kieran Clancy's and opened in April 2013 with James Ferguson (ex Rochelle Canteen) at the helm, but closed earlier this year.

"This iconic location, set in the railway arches next to the Hoxton Overground, is a unique opportunity and a great fit with our brewpubs at Highbury and Angel. It is expected to be open and brewing in mid-July," said a spokesperson for Brewhouse & Kitchen.

The group also announced that it has exchanged contracts to acquire the freehold of Wabi in Horsham, Sussex, which is expected to complete in the next 14 days. The site previously operated as a Japanese restaurant, run by Paul and Verity Craig for nine years.

The acquisitions take Brewhouse & Kitchen's total portfolio to 21.
