Ben Murphy, head chef of D&D London's Launceston Place in Kensington, has launched a new tasting menu with Marriott's W London hotel in Leicester Square, which will be available for four months.
Acorn Award-winner Murphy has designed a menu inspired by his childhood, which will be served in the Perception bar and lounge at the hotel until the end of February 2019.
Murphy said: âDesigning a menu for W London has given me the opportunity to colour outside the lines and create some really bold dishes. Bringing together a selection of my childhood memories and my sense of humour while using a range of cutting-edge cooking techniques has been immense fun.â
The collaboration forms part of the hotelâs Dining Series, which was launched in 2017 and sees a chef invited to combine their âgastronomic identity with the daring attitude of W Hotelsâ.
Martijn Mulder, general manager of W London added: âWe are thrilled to be working with Ben on this exciting new menu as his passion and attitude fits perfectly with W Londonâs spirit. I have no doubt these unique dishes will disrupt the daring foodie scene we already enjoy in Soho, whilst giving fans of Murphy the chance to sample some of his more unconventional dishes in the lively and playful setting of W London.â
Murphyâs menu will be every day from 5pm to 11pm at £49 per person. A shorter pre-theatre menu will be available between 5pm and 7pm with two courses for £17.50.
