Dorset-based events caterer Beales Gourmet has fallen into administration as a “direct result” of the coronavirus outbreak.
Business advisory firm Quantuma has been appointed as administrator and furloughed the company’s 14 employees while a buyer is sought for the business.
The company had 250 events booked when the coronavirus outbreak forced it to cease trading.
Just a week ago founder Tony Beale told Dorset Biz News, which broke news of the administration: “This is a very scary time but we’re determined not to give up without a fight.”
Beale had told the publication that events worth £200,000 had been postponed. Beale Gourmet had looked to launch a delivery service during the lockdown.
