The 237-bedroom Pan Pacific hotel - due to open next year in the City of London - has announced its key management team will be led by general manager Anne Golden.
Located within the new 43-storey tower One Bishopgate Plaza near Liverpool Street Station, the hotel is the first in Europe for Pan Pacific Hotels Groups, which is owned by Singaporean property group UOL. It sits alongside 160 private residences in what is the first high-rise hotel and residential development in the City.
Golden joined Pan Pacific from Morgans Hotel Group, where she spent more than 12 years, including nearly three and a half years as regional vice president and opening general manager of the Mondrian London (now Sea Containers). During that time, she also oversaw the Sanderson and St Martins Lane hotels.
In her new role, Golden will manage property operations, business development, brand positioning and revenue management for the hotel, as well as oversee all the food and beverage outlets, the details of which are yet to be announced.
Golden’s management team will include Kate Ruddick as director of sales; Claire Gilbertson, director of revenue; Michelle Whittemore, director of marketing communications; and Jennifer Chu, finance director.
Like Golden, Ruddick and Gilbertson also worked for Morgans Hotel Group, which today is now owned by global lifestyle hospitality company SBE. Ruddick was regional director of sales, where she oversaw the group's three London hotels. In her new role, she will focus on the luxury lifestyle, local corporate business, MICE and entertainment sectors.
Gilbertson's role at Morgan Hotel Group as regional revenue director followed stints working for Millennium & Copthorne and Langham London.
Prior to joining Pan Pacific London, Chu worked for five and a half years as regional head of finance at Dorsett Hospitality UK , where she was responsible for the opening and operating of the group’s two London hotels from a finance perspective. She is a chartered accountant and previously worked for Marriott International.
Whittemore has joined the hotel from the Corinthia London where she spent two years as senior head of marketing. She previously worked for Nira Hotels & Resorts, PR agency PRCO, PR and marketing agency LSC and Marriott International.
She said: "It is my goal to launch and strengthen the awareness of the Pan Pacific Hotels Group in Europe and to increase value to our London property through highly targeted performance-driven marketing activities.”
Pan Pacific London is due to open in autumn 2020.
