Sodexo Corporate Services has announced that from 1 June, Alex Kristall will become managing director for the Good Eating Company in the UK & Ireland, as part of investment plans to grow the business and its footprint globally.
Kristall will take over full operational and P&L responsibility for the company in the UK & Ireland and continue to report to Julie Ennis, chief executive of corporate services for Sodexo UK & Ireland.
The move will see Sodexo invest further in the Good Eating Company brand to grow it within the UK & Ireland and further afield. The Good Eating Company will remain its own entity within Sodexo’s Corporate Services business.
Co-founder and former managing director Carlos Mistry will remain with the Good Eating Company, moving into a global role with a focus on the United States, a market the business entered in 2021. The Good Eating Company was founded in 1999 and in 2017 was bought by foodservice giant Sodexo.
Kristall said: “This is an exciting time for the Good Eating Company, the team has built an enviable brand and set the definitive standard when it comes to delivering workplace dining to leading organisations.
“As we grow the business, I very much look forward to working with the team to continue to evolve and strengthen its position here in the UK & Ireland. The future of food experiences in the workplace is challenging yet exciting and we are perfectly positioned to disrupt the market and aid organisations in better defining their workplace experience.”
She joined Sodexo in March 2022 as managing director for corporate services and over the last year has developed Sodexo’s presence in London and the southeast.
Ennis added: “At Sodexo we are committed to delivering inspiring workplaces for our clients’ employees and we know that food is a vital ingredient in attracting people back to the office. This is an exciting step for all involved. Alex has a strong focus on food as demonstrated from her many years in the industry and with the amazing Good Eating Company team we are looking forward to its continued success and evolution.”
Founded in 1966 in Marseille by Pierre Bellon, Sodexo operates in 53 countries with 422,000 employees serving 100 million consumers each day.
