14forty, part of Compass Group UK and Ireland, has won a £20m contract to provide soft and hard facilities services for National Gas.
The agreement begins in September 2023 and will run for five years, with an option for extending it for a further two years.
It will cover the entire British estate of National Gas, which includes satellite offices and pipeline maintenance centres.
14forty will provide services such as emergency repair and upgrade work, cleaning, security, front of house services, vending, and watercoolers.
It will also launch a new helpdesk system to manage engineer visits and preventative maintenance schedules across the National Gas estate.
Mauro Ortelli, managing director at 14forty, said: “We’re thrilled to be appointed the integrated facilities management provider for National Gas, it’s the first contract they’ve awarded in this area since their separation from National Grid following a robust and thorough tender process.”
14forty is based in Birmingham and said it has a turnover of £110m. It employs over 3,000 people to deliver food and hospitality, cleaning, security and other services across the oil and gas, professional services, manufacturing, and financial services sectors.
In July, Compass Group reported a strong third quarter with worldwide organic revenue growth of 15%. The foodservice giant said it had a 96.7% client retention rate, new business growth of 5% and volume growth of 9%.
