Marriott have announced a new multi-year partnership to create "Paddy & Scott's Fuelling Stations" in Marriott hotels across the UK.
Following a successful trial and pop-ups at the Leicester Marriott hotel, Paddy & Scott's coffee is now being rolled out across much of Marriott's UK portfolio from this month.
The partnership will provide Marriott with responsibly sourced and crafted coffee, industry-leading barista training, promotional campaigns, branding and a coffee offer that champions social and sustainable focus.
The Marriott hotels logo will also sit proudly at the Ruiga School, Kenya alongside Paddy & Scott's Muchomba farm where Marriott and Paddy & Scott's will be working together to fuel the ambition of Kenyan coffee farmers and their families.
Sean Kelly, area operations director at Marriott UK, commented "The Paddy & Scott's story really appeals. Great tasting coffee, an ethical approach to business, compostable cups and a strong brand experience makes it a great fit for Marriott."
Scott Russell, founder and CEO of Paddy & Scott's, added: "Those in the know tell us that our unique story of provenance and track record of increasing coffee sales for our customers is a breath of fresh air and we're proud to see the Paddy & Scott's wings go up across 40-plus Marriott hotels in the UK. Marriott's decision to award this contract to Paddy & Scott's is a real endorsement that our commitment to revolutionise the traditional coffee supply world is worth the fight."
Paddy & Scott's launched the Muchomba Farm and Rugia School project in Kenya in 2017. The farm is located 300 kilometres north of Nairobi on the eastern side of Mount Kenya.Since the beginning of the project they have invigorated the farm, built processing equipment, installed drying tables and a new irrigation system. The educational model farm with shared facilities can be used by local communities who rely on the coffee for their existence.
