Experience Glasgow aims to reassure frontline staff with reopening toolkit

Scotland’s Experience Glasgow industry group has launched a reopening toolkit for frontline workers in hospitality and leisure businesses.

The guide has been designed to help equip staff with the essential skills and knowledge they need to carry out their roles as businesses start to reopen.

The toolkit aims to reduce reopening anxiety for frontline workers by providing guidance on general behaviours and responsibilities, keeping a safe distance, infection control, customer care, physical distancing and wellbeing.

Gordon Mcintyre, vice-chairman of Experience Glasgow and chair of Hospitality Health, said: “As we enter this stage of Phase 2, the need for descriptive and practical resources to ensure a safe and successful return for the hospitality industry has never been greater.

“We all have a vital role to play in supporting Scotland's hospitality recovery from coronavirus, mentally, physically and economically, and we hope that this toolkit will help frontline staff understand their responsibilities with reopening. "

The guidance supports the Scottish government advisory document for operators and is free to download at www.ExperienceGlasgow.com.
