Bidfood sanitisers kill coronavirus in five minutes

Bidfood has announced newly certified sanitisers as part of its Essential Supplies general purpose range.

Both sanitisers are certified to EN14476:2013 and EN14476A2:2019 standards, which mean they can kill coronavirus to 99.999% within five minutes of contact time.

The products also carry the EN 1276:2019 standard, which means they can kill 99.999% of bacteria in under 30 seconds,

Catherine Hinchcliff, head of corporate marketing, marketing and insights at Bidfood, said: “There are relatively few other sanitiser brands in the UK that carry BS EN1276:1997, EN14476:2013 and EN 14476A2:2019 certification, as it takes a number of months to achieve this.

“This assures that they are proven viricidal and bactericidal disinfectants that are safe to use on all front of house and back of house surfaces you need to clean hygienically to prevent the spread of Covid-19.”
