Panesco has added two premium bread products to its range. Pane Tartaruga is a fully baked vegan bread in the shape of a turtle and comes pre-sliced for ease, and the Shell Roll Rye is made from a blend of rye and wheat flour with a flour-dusted crust, enriched with fermented sprouted rye grains and brown linseed. The shell-shaped rolls are part-baked, allowing caterers to only bake off exactly what they need, meaning more convenience and less wastage.

Henley Bridge has added RESQ fruit powders by the Chichester Food and Drink Company to its range. The powders are available in six flavours (blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, lemon, orange and lime) and in small (90g) and bulk (500g) formats. The powders can be used in baking, desserts, smoothies and ice-cream, as well as savoury recipes, and are made using surplus fruits that would otherwise have been wasted. The air-drying process allows a large quantity of fresh fruit to be packed into each kilogram.

The pastries are made using margarine and French wheat flour, giving the products a light and crisp texture. A vegan egg wash substitute, made of pea protein, water and sugar, creates a golden top.
