Wing Shack to open seven further restaurants by 2022

Wing Shack is preparing for a major expansion drive with plans to open seven further restaurants this year.

The chicken wing chain has secured London sites in Brixton, Bromley, Finchley, Camden and Soho and will also open in Manchester and St Albans.

Wing Shack was founded by Josh Jarvis and two of his friends in Loughton in 2017 and now trades within London's Selfridges, at the Good Mixer pub in Camden and has delivery kitchens in Canary Wharf, Battersea and Clerkenwell.

It serves chicken wings with a range of sauces, as well as chicken burgers and vegetarian options such as a jackfruit smoky barbecue burger.

Jarvis said: "It's been a crazy year for everyone, but I really believe it's been a year of opportunity for us. We've managed to remain positive throughout and so many great opportunities have arisen for us to expand our business quicker than we could've imagined. We are extremely confident about our brand and can't wait to open our planned stores so more people can have that Wing Shack experience."

The new openings will serve a similar menu to Wing Shack's existing sites.

Last year Jarvis spoke to The Caterer about his work encouraging ex-offenders and hospitality employers to work together.
