Stuart Conibear is set to join L’oscar Hotel London in Holborn as head chef next month from the same role at the Ned.
Conibear also previously worked as head chef at the Ivy Brasserie in Cambridge, at Corbin & King’s Colbert in Chelsea, and as personal head chef to the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall at Clarence House in London.
He will also look after room service, all meeting and event spaces, and the Baptist bar at the 40-bedroom hotel. The Baptist Grill recently relaunched as a private event space.
Executive chef and food and beverage director Tony Fleming left the hotel late last year to rejoin D&D London, having spent three years at the hotel, which opened in May 2018.
Owned by Triangle Hotels and Resorts, L’oscar opened following a £40m transformation of an Edwardian Baroque building, which was originally the headquarters of the Baptist Union.
