Three-Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan has partnered with Uber Eats to offer a five-course, £80 delivery tasting menu.
The chef patron of L’Enclume in the Lake District, who holds eight-Michelin stars and two-Michelin green stars across his portfolio of restaurants, will be the latest high-profile chef to offer a menu with the delivery platform, following Gareth Ward of Ynyshir and Jeremy Chan of Ikoyi.
The menu will feature a salad containing 51 ingredients from Rogan’s Our Farm in Cartmel as well as heritage breed beef short rib from Lake District Farmers served with fermented cabbage, chanterelles and an indulgent beef sauce featuring ramson stems, pickled tapioca and ramson oil.
Uber Eats has said it will be the most sustainable takeaway offered in the UK with fully biodegradable packaging created from seaweed and manufactured by an Earthshot Prize winning company.
Rogan said: “I’m delighted to be partnering with Uber Eats to shine a light on some of the very best produce we’re able to grow and source in this country, most of which I’m proud my team and I have produced on our very own Lake District farm.
“My cooking philosophy has always been influenced by the natural environment, while sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do. Uber Eats have truly gone above and beyond to match this ethos with this project.”
Matthew Price, general manager UK, Ireland and Northern Europe at Uber Eats added: “Delighted to be teaming up with Simon Rogan in our latest instalment of Uber Eats Hosts that sees us bring hard to access dining experiences to your doorstep.
"We jumped at the chance to work with such a celebrated chef to create our most sustainable takeaway menu yet in the UK. I can’t wait for our customers to try the 51 ingredient salad, it is a truly special dish, not to mention the specially sourced heritage breed beef short rib from The Lake District which stands at the centre of the menu.”
Rogan’s menu will be available to customers in London on September 18 and 19, between 5pm and 10pm.
The first night will be available to Uber One users only, and the second night will be available to all customers.
A wine pairing will be available for £30.
