The owners of Bundobust, a craft beer bar with an Indian street food kitchen, will be opening a second restaurant in Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens this autumn.
After opening the first Bundobust restaurant in Leeds in 2014, owners Mayur Patel and Mark Husak plan to open the brand's second outlet at the end of September or early October.
The new site will have up to 20 craft beers on tap with dedicated pumps for local Manchester breweries such as Cloudwater. It will also serve the dishes its sister restaurant is known for, including vada pav (a fried mashed potato ball served in a brioche bun), bundo chaat (samosa pastry with chickpeas, potato and turmeric noodles) and masalla dosa (a mini rice crepe served with lentil soup).
Patel said: "Bundobust is a laid back place to grab a bite to eat and wash it down with some of the best beer in the world. It has a chilled-out vibe somewhere between a restaurant and a bar. Customers can call in for a quick snack or stay for a few hours and work their way through the food and drink menu in a tapas kind of way."
Husak added: "We are so excited to finally get the keys. It's been a long time coming but we can now formulate our opening timeline. We have been looking around the site this week and our plans are looking great. We feel the location is great. It benefits from the great footfall of Piccadilly but backs onto the hip Northern Quarter."
