A fine dining restaurant overseen by Adam Maddock and Tommy Banks will also open this year
The developers behind the Saltmoore luxury wellness retreat have secured a £22.8m loan to fund the next stage of the project.
Property firms O’Shea Group and Galliard Homes are planning to build 179 villas, lodges and holiday cottages across the 85-acre Raithwaite Sandsend estate on the North Yorkshire coast.
It follows the relaunch of the estate’s two hotels, Saltmoore House and the Beach House, in November last year.
The two hotels feature 78 rooms and suites between them and include a gym, spa, Himalayan salt sauna, cryotherapy chamber and hot tubs overlooking nearby woodland.
Saltmoore House is home to three restaurants and a fine dining destination due to open early this year, overseen by head chef Adam Maddock and executive chef Tommy Banks.
Brian van Oosten, former estate director at Carlton Towers Estate in Yorkshire, joined as general manager this year.
The first phase of the holiday lodges, known as Saltmoore Collection, are being marketed by local estate agent Henderson’s.
Damien Hughes, senior director of property finance at OakNorth, said: “The combination of the development expertise from both O’Shea and Galliard, alongside the well-renowned hotel management team that have been brought in, will no doubt be core reasons behind the project’s success.
“The location of the site and abundance of luxury offerings will also be a draw for not just UK staycationers, but international tourists too.”
