Robert Whitfield leaves the Dorchester hotel

Robert Whitfield, regional director and general manager at the Dorchester, has resigned from his position.

His next move has not yet been announced and a replacement is expected to be announced shortly.

A spokesperson for the Dorchester Collection said: "Each of our three UK hotels continue to operate as normal with a strong leadership team in place."

Whitfield replaced Roland Fasel in 2017 having previously worked as regional vice president and general manager of the 243-bedroom Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Hawaii.

As well as the 250-bedroom, five-red-AA-starred Dorchester hotel in London, his role encompassed the group's two other UK properties: the five-red-AA-star, 46-bedroom 45 Park Lane and the five-AA-star, 70-bedroom Coworth Park in Berkshire.
