Perle Hotels snaps up Glencoe House hotel

Perle Hotels has expanded its four-strong portfolio of hotels in Scotland with the acquisition of the 14-bedroom Glencoe House hotel for an undisclosed sum.

Built in 1896 by Lord Strathcona, the hotel is located in the heart of Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands. It was bought by Roger Niemeyer in 2010, since when he and Judy Pate have restored the property to its former grandeur.

Glencoe House will now become a sister property to the Marmalade and Bosville hotel in Protree, the Perle Oban and Lochardili House hotel in Inverness.

Fasih Rehman, chief executive of Perle Hotels, said: "Glencoe House Hotel and its team are a fantastic addition to our growing hotel group. We appreciate what a very special place Glencoe House is, but also the very high standards at which it operates now and we intend to build further on these in the future."

Launched in 2014, Perle Hotels received the Queens Award for International Trade at Buckingham Palace, last month.
